Extended GP appointment – up to 40 minutes
Recommended if you have more than one concern, complex symptoms, a longer medical history, mental health concerns, several results to discuss, or paperwork that may need more time.
Short follow-up appointment – up to 10 minutes
Suitable for a brief follow-up or one straightforward issue that has already been discussed with us.
Please choose the appointment length that best matches what you would like to discuss. This helps the GP assess you safely and ensures there is enough time to deal with your concern properly.
If you book a shorter appointment than needed, the GP may need to prioritise the most important issue first. Where possible, we may be able to extend the appointment on the day, but additional time is charged separately. If this is not possible, a further appointment may be required.

Private prescriptions
Our GPs can issue private prescriptions where clinically appropriate.
A prescription issue fee applies. Medication costs are not included and are paid separately to the pharmacy or medicine supplier.
Private prescriptions are always issued at the discretion of the GP. In some cases, the GP may need further information, medical records, blood tests, monitoring or specialist input before prescribing.
Referral letters and reports
Our GPs can provide referral letters to private consultants, hospitals, imaging providers and other services where clinically appropriate.
Simple referral letters start from £40. More detailed letters, forms, reports or medical summaries may cost more depending on the complexity and time required.
Blood tests and investigations
YPC Health can arrange a wide range of private blood tests and investigations. These are charged separately from the GP consultation.
Your GP may recommend tests based on your symptoms, medical history and clinical needs. You may also request specific tests, although the GP will advise whether they are appropriate.
