Spirometry Test

You will be seated comfortably and provided with a disposable mouthpiece attached to the spirometer device.
We will ask you to take a deep breath, seal your lips around the mouthpiece, and exhale forcefully into the device.

This may be repeated several times to ensure accurate results.
The clinician may ask you to perform other breathing techniques, such as slow and steady exhalation or rapid inhalation, depending on the test.
Occasionally, the test may be conducted before and after administering a bronchodilator to evaluate its effect on lung function.

Electrocardiogram test (ECG)

During the ECG test, we will attach 12 sensors to various parts of your upper body to get a detailed view of your heart's activity. In addition to the ECG, we will also measure your blood pressure on both arms, oxygen saturations (SpO2), as well as document your height, weight, and BMI measurements. Rest assured, this procedure is non-invasive and completely painless.

Hearing Test/Ear Wax Removal

This begins by an initial visual inspection of your ear, to ensure there is no wax build up, or foreign bodies present.

If one or both of your ears are blocked with ear wax, the hearing test will be postponed. We will remove any ear wax build up you have, you can then return at later date to perform the hearing test.

To begin the hearing test you will sit in the audio booth and use the ear cups and response switch provided.  The process is explained during the appointment.
