We offer a range of private vaccination services, including travel vaccines, meningitis B vaccination, flu jabs, hepatitis A and hepatitis B vaccines, occupational health vaccines, and selected specialist travel vaccines such as IXCHIQ® chikungunya vaccine, subject to clinical suitability and vaccine availability.

Whether you are preparing for overseas travel, need a vaccine for work, are not eligible for a particular vaccine on the NHS, or want additional private protection, our team can advise you on suitable options. All vaccinations are provided following a clinical assessment to check your medical history, allergies, previous vaccines and whether the vaccine is appropriate for you.

Travel vaccination consultations

Travelling abroad? Book a £25 telephone travel consultation to check which vaccines or antimalarials may be recommended for your destination, itinerary, medical history and previous vaccine record.

If you proceed with vaccinations with us, your £25 consultation fee is deducted from the vaccine cost.

How booking works

If you already know which vaccine you need and do not require a travel consultation, please contact us by telephone or email to check vaccine availability and arrange an appointment.

No referral is needed to book a private vaccination with us.

Before any vaccine is given, we will complete a clinical suitability check. This includes reviewing your age, medical history, allergies, current medication, previous vaccines and whether the vaccine is appropriate for you.

Some vaccines require more than one dose to complete the course. If you need further doses or boosters, we will explain the recommended schedule and help you plan your follow-up appointments.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral to book a private vaccination?

No. You do not need a GP referral or any other referral to book a private vaccination or travel health consultation at YPC Health.

Patients can book directly online, by telephone or by email.

How can I book a vaccination appointment?

You can book a vaccination appointment or travel health consultation online, by calling us, or by emailing our team.

If you are unsure which appointment to book, contact us and we can advise whether a travel health consultation or direct vaccination appointment is more appropriate.

Do you see children for private vaccinations?

Yes. we can see children for selected private vaccinations, subject to age, vaccine suitability, medical history and clinical assessment.

Some vaccines have minimum age requirements or specific suitability criteria. If you are booking for a child, please contact us first or provide the child’s age and the vaccine required when booking.

I can’t get this vaccine on the NHS. Why can you administer it privately?

The NHS provides vaccines based on national eligibility criteria, public health priorities and commissioned vaccination programmes. Some vaccines are only offered free on the NHS to certain age groups, risk groups or travel circumstances. Private clinics can offer selected licensed vaccines outside NHS eligibility criteria, provided they are clinically appropriate, legally supplied, correctly stored and administered by trained healthcare professionals following a suitability assessment. This means you may not be eligible for a vaccine through the NHS, but you may still be able to receive it privately if it is suitable for you.

Does private vaccination mean the vaccine is different from the NHS version?

Usually, no. Private clinics often use the same licensed vaccines used within NHS or public health programmes. The difference is usually eligibility and funding, rather than vaccine quality. The NHS may only fund a vaccine for certain groups. A private clinic may be able to offer the same or similar licensed vaccine to people who are outside NHS eligibility, as long as it is clinically appropriate.

Do I need a travel consultation before having travel vaccines?

If you are unsure which vaccines you need for your trip, yes. Travel vaccine advice depends on more than just the country you are visiting.

It can also depend on the areas you are visiting, length of stay, accommodation type, planned activities, previous vaccinations, age, medical history and current travel health risks. A travel consultation helps make sure the advice is relevant to your specific trip.

How far in advance should I book travel vaccinations?

Ideally, book travel vaccination advice at least 6 to 8 weeks before travel where possible. Some vaccines need time to work, and some require multiple doses spread over several weeks. If you are travelling soon, contact us anyway. We may still be able to help with last-minute travel vaccine advice.

Can I have travel vaccines at short notice?

Yes, sometimes. Some vaccines can still be given close to travel, but others require multiple doses or time to provide protection.

If your trip is soon, book a travel health consultation as early as possible. We can advise which vaccines may still be useful before you leave.

Can I have more than one vaccine at the same appointment?

Often, yes. Many vaccines can be given at the same appointment, but this depends on the vaccines required, your medical history and clinical suitability. Our clinical team will advise you during your consultation or appointment.

What if I do not know my previous vaccination history?

Do not worry. We can discuss your vaccine history during your consultation. In some cases, we may recommend checking your GP record, reviewing any vaccine documents you have, arranging a blood test for immunity, or giving a booster if appropriate.

Do you offer meningitis B vaccination privately?

Yes, private meningitis B vaccination may be suitable for people who are not eligible for NHS MenB vaccination but would like to consider private protection, subject to clinical assessment.

Why might someone choose private meningitis B vaccination?

The NHS meningitis B vaccination programme is targeted at specific eligible groups. Some people outside those groups may still wish to consider private MenB vaccination for themselves or their family. Private meningitis B vaccination may be considered by children, teenagers, students, adults or families who want to discuss additional protection. Suitability, schedule and number of doses will be confirmed before vaccination.

Do you offer chikungunya IXCHIQ® vaccination?

Yes, Chikungunya is a mosquito-borne viral infection found in certain parts of the world. IXCHIQ® may be considered for selected travellers depending on destination, risk, age, medical history and current guidance. Because IXCHIQ® is a live vaccine and is not suitable for everyone, we will complete a clinical suitability assessment before offering it.

Is IXCHIQ® suitable for everyone?

No. IXCHIQ® is a live vaccine and has specific suitability requirements. The MHRA announced in February 2026 that IXCHIQ should only be used in adults aged 18 to 59 years. It is contraindicated in people with hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus and/or chronic kidney disease. We will only provide IXCHIQ® where it is clinically appropriate following assessment.

Can I have a vaccine if I am pregnant, immunosuppressed or have a long-term medical condition?

You may still be able to have some vaccines, but not all vaccines are suitable for everyone. Live vaccines in particular may not be appropriate for certain patients, including some people who are immunosuppressed or pregnant. Please tell us about any medical conditions, pregnancy, medication, allergies or immune system problems before booking.

Can I book a vaccine if I am not registered with you?

Yes. You do not need to be registered with us to book a private vaccination or travel health consultation. We provide private vaccination appointments for adults and children from Ilkley, Leeds, Bradford, Otley, Skipton and across West Yorkshire.

Will you update my GP record after vaccination?

After your vaccination, we can provide you with a record of the vaccine given. This may include the vaccine name, date administered, dose number where relevant, batch number and any follow-up dose advice. You can share this information with your GP practice so your NHS record can be updated.

What information will I receive after vaccination?

You can receive a vaccination record showing the vaccine name, date administered, dose number where relevant, batch number and any follow-up dose advice. This can be useful for travel, occupational health records, school or university requirements, employer records and your personal medical history. You will also receive a copy of the patient information leaflet.
