I would definitely recommend James for ear wax removal. I had a free consultation with James last week to explain how two attempts to remove ear wax in the last few years had failed, due to me passing out (I think due to nerve damage in my gums). James took time to explain alternative methods and how he would proceed (endoscope). At no time did he pressure me to have any treatment. I decided to go ahead as I could no longer hear at all in my right ear. I have been today and he was so careful, so reassuring, explaining all the time what he was doing and ensuring I was still feeling ok. Wanted a spirometry test. Got an appointment at YPC for the following afternoon. I just needed the test, not a full diagnostic write up so this was ideal. Everywhere else I looked privately I was forced into getting a consultants report to go with my results, at a much greater cost. This cost me £75, saved me a 6 month NHS wait and put me and my doctor in a position to be able to look at what the next steps are in a timely fashion.
Great experience in the office as well. 10/10. More than happy. 😀

So pleased I opted to use James for removal of ear wax using microsuction - I went with some hesitation about how successful this would be having read quite a bit about how this technique is fast replacing the normal NHS syringe style procedure and I had been told to wait 2 weeks just for a GP to take a look! But when your ears have gone deaf that's a hard ask. Within 30-40 mins both my ears were free of their wax plugs that were growing like little aliens and I can hear so much better. Even the ear that I hadn't been prepping with oil drops was cleaned out.The procedure was clearly explained by James and he exercised great control and care.
