We can conduct a PCR swab test in your own home or place of work and issue you a travel certificate signed off by our own private GPs.

COVID-19 PCR Test with Doctors Letter

If you require a Covid-19 PCR swab with results reviewed by a doctor we can provide this additional paperwork to meet your requirements. This can be used for occupational health or travel reasons.

COVID-19 PCR Test for Travel with Doctors Letter

Each country has its own requirements which need to be met before entry, and these are continuously changing. Many countries are asking for a negative test result within 72 hours prior to travelling abroad with a travel certificate, which we can provide. We will complete the necessary paperwork required for each location with a sign off from one of our doctors, including travel certificates and entry permits. Not all countries require a doctors letter for travel and most will accept the lab results on their own.

If you arrive into a country that requires a negative COVID-19 PCR test without the necessary paperwork, you could be forced into having a test on arrival (potentially at a higher expense), forced into an extended quarantine period or not allowed entry into that country. However, not all countries require a travel certificate and our COVID-19 PCR test service may be sufficient for you. Additionally, you may not be able to make a claim on travel insurance for cancellations or refusal of entry into a country due to not having a COVID-19 PCR test. Please check with your travel insurance and travel provider.

There have been multiple reports of false negatives for COVID-19 using the self-test method. This is due to the user not being familiar with the testing process and not taking the sample correctly. Please bear in mind some countries may not accept a COVID-19 self-test due to this possibility. All of our testing processes are carried out by healthcare professionals, who are trained to carry out the procedure. The samples are then sent to a Public Health England (PHE) Care Quality Commission (CQC), UKAS registered laboratory for the most accurate results.

For the most up to date travel information, see the government website:

We are unable validate COVID-19 PCR tests carried out by other organisations, including the NHS. The NHS does not carry out COVID -19 testing for the purposes of travel and should not be used in this way. To do so would be abuse of the NHS. Furthermore, documentation from the NHS of a negative result may not be enough to enter another country.

Please familiarise yourself with our terms and conditions before booking.

About Coronavirus (COVID-19)

COVID-19 is an infectious disease that can affect your airways and lungs, caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus.

This infectious disease was unknown until the recent outbreak which originated in China in late 2019. At the time of writing, cases of COVID-19 continue to rise daily across the globe.

The most common symptoms associated with COVID-19 are fever, tiredness and a dry cough, but symptoms can take up to 14 days to appear so it is difficult to know if someone has been infected ahead of these conditions appearing. In the meantime, infected people can spread the virus unknowingly.

Is the test specific for COVID-19?

Yes, our PCR swab virus antigen test only tests for COVID-19. It does not test for any other diseases, such as flu.

Can the test detect asymptomatic (no COVID-19 symptoms) patients?

Yes, the test will be able to if you currently have COVID-19, even if you are not displaying symptoms.

Can babies and young children be tested?

Yes, there are no issues with testing babies and young children.

Can pregnant or breast feeding women be tested?

Yes, there is no harm to the mother or baby when performing a test.

Is there anyone that shouldn’t be tested?

No, the more people that are tested, the better it will be to understand the spread of the virus, which will result in better measures being taken to prevent its spread.

Can I receive my results in alternative ways?

To make the process as quick as possible we send the results by email. However, if you do not have access to an email address or wish to receive them by telephone or post, please let us know.

Can I have more information on the labs you use?

The labs we use are accredited and regulated to carry out testing for COVID-19. The results from samples tested are shared with Public Health England and go towards the overall test numbers in the UK.

What if I test positive for COVID-19?

If this happens we advise that you follow the most up to date guidelines, including self isolation, which can be found here: If a ‘Test and Fly’ service has been requested, unfortunately we will not be able to confirm your COVID-19 free status and you will receive documentation for this. Fees for this service will still apply.
